Crack the Chaos code: Your blueprint for a seamless day.

I'm not sure if it's just me that is feeling it, but this year is absolutely flying by! To my horror, I even heard someone mention the C......s word today.😣
In my mind it is obscene to even elude to that time of the year in September!  I am simply not ready for that kind of chaos to start so early.

Speaking of chaos, did you know that many neurodivergent people struggle with organisational skills? Maybe you’ve seen it—packing or unpacking a school bag feels like a mission?  Or remembering where clothes/shoes/lunchbox were left becomes a daily challenge. (My son could leave a trail of his belongings all over town!) Or perhaps it’s the constant search for tools, files, or that one thing needed to start the day without wasting half the morning.

Time management, prioritising tasks and maintaining a routine are all part of this.
Here are suggestions to help with these challenges.
1.  Break the task down into small, manageable steps - this allows the person to stay more focussed and on track.
2. Use visual aids and reminders - calendars, colour-coded charts, and sticky notes can be very effective, along with setting alarms and reminders to ensure appointments and deadlines are met.
3. Keep a set routine - Rinse and repeat. Having a set daily routine reduces the mental load of making decisions throughout the day.

I hope this helps! If this is an issue at home, let’s chat and explore some more ideas together or share some of your ideas that keep your household running like a well oiled machine.
